21 DAY- GAME CHANGING PLAN

DAY 1: GOOD GYRLS MOVE IN SILENCE.
Yeah, okay, I bit a line from the Notorious BIG. So what! What rapper hasn't borrowed material before. Seriously. Good gyrls move in silence was the mantra for today. My point was to be more observant and less vocal. At time I have alot to say. Today as I purpose to watch and observe and be slow to speak, that's biblical by the way. I learned alot.
   1. Some of the stuff that I wanted to say was not going to help the situation.
   2. People are really quite hilarious.
   3. When somebody is lying and they think that you don't know, you really have the upperhand and control how things are going to play our. Funny how the liar thinks that he/she is in control of the situation.
   4. Whether, I have an episode (Old Schoolers call it a FIT) or not the situation is going to eventually be resolved.
   5. My stress level was significantly down today.

DAY 2: DREAM BIG. THE SKY'S THE LIMIT
This is really simple, but you'd be amazed how many people won't try it. Have you ever been thinking about someone and then they call you or you see them at the store or the gas station? This simple strategy is something like that. Remember taking long trips as a kid and seeing cars, homes, etc. and claiming it for yourself. This is our goal for DAY2.
Write down everything you want to see manifest itself in your life. ETC.
I want my children to clean their rooms daily.
New 6 bedroom home with glass elevator.
       Own a premiere dayspa.
       Publisher of the year.
Nike sponsorship, because I'm doing it BIG.
Life supply of Hubba Bubba Bubblegum.
       Jahzara Water
It's your list, so write, write, write, until you can't think of anything else. What would you do if you knew you could not fail.

DAY 3: "Play Your Position. Stay In Your Lane." Inspired by Lacha' Mitchell.
Everyone has a gift or talent. Some individuals have several. That being said, there's no need to "hate" on another individual. Simply utilize your gift/talent to the fullest. Sometimes we have to do some soul-searching to know what our gift is. Now once you know what your gift is you must groom it, and bring it into maturation. Everyone is responsible for how they handle or don't handle their gift(s). See, I know my gifts and abilities which is why you'll never see me on American Idol. There's no need for me to embarrass myself in front of millions of Americans and get upset when I am not selected "American Idol," because that's not my gift. Knowing that, I can now play my position and stay in my lane.

I dare you to assess yourself and figure out what your gifts and abilities are. List them. Now ask yourself am I utilizing my gift(s) to the fullest? Be honest.  If not, how will you utilize your gifts and abilities. So, I honestly had to say I was not utilizing my gifts to the fullest and then I created a P.O.A. (PLAN OF ACTION.)

DAY4: What's In Your Hand?
As I watched my students take the Graduating Qualifying Exam, I noticed them struggling. It felt bad to sit and watch them in silence. I couldn't help them. It was on them to use what they had to succeed. Many squirmed in their seats uncomfortably because they were out of their comfort zone. However, they were equipped for the test. They had been prepared through tutoring, remediation. They were allowed to use a reference sheet that had formulas, rulers, and calculators. They had everything they needed. However, when you don't recognize what you have and know how to utilize those tools, I guess it will send you in a state of panic.
Use what's in your hand, your gifts and talents. Are you making your gifts and talents work for you?
P.O.A.- Use my gifts and talents. Put something in motion.

DAY5: TIME TO UPGRADE
This can be fun or it can be painful. I am actually working on a book entitled "It's Time To Upgrade When..." But back to the topic at hand, upgrading can cause a myriad of emotions. I noted last week that what worked last season will not work this season. Sometimes, the things that worked in the past are no longer valid or useful. You have to let some things go and upgrade.
What things in your life need to be upgraded? Sometimes we have become so comfortable with those permanent fixtures and this is where it may be painful for some--you have to let go of some things and move on to bigger and better. It's not that people don't want to move on to bigger and better, it's the pain and separation that some will deal with regarding letting go of the old and un-useful thing. Sometimes people get in a place of complacency and acceptance.

DAY6: IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT ME
The most profound thing I heard on this week was out of the mouth of my 5-year-old daughter. She said that she and her classmates told another classmate that the teacher was not just their for the one classmate but she was there for all of them. As narcissistic as we are as a people, we must realize that "IT'S NOT ALWAYS ABOUT US." Today, I wanted to genuinely help others and put others first and I tried to do that by assisting others with ideas to prosper them and their endeavors.

DAY7: LETTING GO

I'm not going to let anything or anyone worry me. Anything or anyone that is going to upset my flow will be eliminated. Point blank and I won't be looking back. Most people who really know me know that "When I'm done, I'm DONE!"

No Child Left Behind, there are people being left behind as I make this shift. Low expectation, no goal having, miserable people there is no room for you as I make this next shift. I wish you peace and love all the same.

Reflecting on what my mother told me as little girl and some things my father said to me two days before he died. Had I meditated on what my parents told me more often in the past, I can guarantee you I wouldn't be sitting here right now. Charting the course of my future.
