I had the honor of speaking with Demetra Reid today by telephone. She is an amazing woman. She is the president of w.o.m.e.n. EO which is a phenemonal organization (do an internet search). We were discussing the current situation and our country is facing and I asked her if might use her poem in my blog and she granted permission. I could give you my opinion about the situation, but Ms. Reid does such an eloquent job in her poem Give America Back to God, read for yourself.

MY COUNTRY TIS OF THEE
WE CAN NOT WALK THE STREETS


SWEET LAND OF LIBERTY
SCHOOLS UNDER LOCK AND KEY

LAND WHERE OUR FATHERS DIED
WHAT HAPPENED TO OUR PRIDE?


DANGER ON EVERY SIDE
WHERE IS FREEDOM’S RING?
